CHINA BUSINESS VISA REQUIREMENTS
 

1. PASSPORT

You must provide your actual signed passport, including one copy of the personal information page of your passport. Your passport must:

• At least 6 months beyond the validity of the requested visa.
• Contain at least two blank visa pages for the visa stamp (amendments and endorsement pages cannot be used to fulfill this requirement)
   

2. LETTER OF INVITATION

A business invitation letter from the sponsoring company in China. The letter should be printed on company letterhead stationery, addressed to "The Consulate of China, Visa Section", and signed by a senior manager and stamped with the company seal. The business letter must include the following information:

• Personal information of the applicant: name, gender, date of birth, passport details, and job title.
• State the nature of the business to be conducted (i.e. business meetings, contract negotiations, etc.), the dates of the visit, and the names and addresses of companies to be contacted in China.

3. VISA APPLICATION FORM 

Applicant must complete visa application online. When you fill out online visa application, make sure write down the APPLICATION ID, and when you complete the online application. DO NOT CLICK on Submit button (step 11 - Review) to submit your application online. You will provide us the application ID only.  Click here to fill out your application online.

• Select the application location based on the location where your driver’s license was issued:
• Select New York if your driver license was issued from: AL, AR, AZ, CO, CT, DE, FL,GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, ME, MD, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, NE, ND, NH, NJ, NM, NY, OH, OK, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WI, WV, WY
• Select San Francisco if your driver license was issued from: AK, CA, NV, OR, WA

4. FOR NON-US CITIZEN

Must provide a copy of legal status in the US.

5. DRIVER LICENSE

A copy of the applicant's driver's license or state issued ID.

7. PREVIOUS CHINESE VISA:

If you have been granted a China visa in the past, you must provide a copy of the most recent issued China visa. If the visa is not located in your current passport, you must submit the a copy of the previous passport.

8. PROCESSING TIME & FEES

• 10-12 business days processing,  consulate fee $140, service fee $249
• 6-8 business days processing,      consulate fee $160, service fee $349
• 4 business days processing,         consulate fee $170, service fee $499

CHINA TOURIST VISA REQUIREMENTS

1. PASSPORT

Requirements for Minors:

A copy of Birth Certificate

A copy of passport from both parents

Additional Requirements for 

Applicants born in Mainland China, applying for the Chinese visa for the very first time, must also provide their (original) most recent Chinese passport, a photocopy of the US Naturalization Certificate and a photocopy of US Permanent Resident Card along with the application. If the name on your current passport is different from the name in your previous Chinese visa, a photocopy of name change court order is also required. If your Chinese passport expiration date is before your naturalization date, please call us for instruction.

Applicants born in Hong Kong, Macao, applying for the Chinese visa for the very first time, must also provide their (previous) original Hong Kong, or Macao passport, or government issued ID and [Confirmation of Nationality Change Declaration] from SAR government. If your current name is different from the name in your birth certificate, ID or old passport, you must provide name change documents.

Applicants born in Taiwan, applying for the Chinese visa for the very first time, must also provide their (previous) original Taiwan passport, or government issued ID from Taiwan. If your current name is different from the name in your birth certificate, ID or old passport, you must provide name change documents.

3. PROOF OF ADDRESS

A copy of the applicant's driver's license or state issued ID or utility bill.

4. PREVIOUS CHINESE VISA:

If you have been granted a China visa in the past, you must provide a copy of the most recent issued China visa. If the visa is not located in your current passport, you must submit the original passport containing the previous China visa.
